What is wrong with people? Oh yeah, they are people.

A few months have gone by since my last post. I am gob-smacked by the election process. This has become a nightly scene on every channel: The craziness of the GOP, the sniping of the DEMS. Although, Hillary and Bernie are slightly more civil: They don't call each other names. 
There have been new state laws over bathrooms. Which bathrooms you can use as a transgender person. You MUST use the bathroom that corresponds to the gender you "were born with".
Crap. I would be quite startled to see a gentleman coming into the ladies because he formerly had a vagina. And Vice Versa. I think the men would be startled to see a ma'am stepping into their bathroom because she used to have a penis.

Ted Cruz et al has been particularly nasty, as have several governors that state "We must protect our women and girls from men dressed as women that will molest them." OMG
Let me tell ya, I was terrified to let my young son into the bathroom by himself due to the common occurrence of boys being molested by professed "straight" men. Most priests who molest identify as "straight". Did you know STRAIGHT WOMEN have been known to molest little girls in restrooms too? OMG We cannot and should not EVER go to ANY public restroom. Nor should we allow children to use the bathrooms at home. They may "accidentally" touch themselves creating pleasure and we can't have that now, can we?
The government needs to get the hell out of the bathroom business except to see that they are clean and have TP and soap. 
Otherwise, up yours. And also while on the subject: Stop creating laws that make it OKAY to discriminate based on your religion.
YOU ARE IN BUSINESS. To turn someone away based on your morals is morally wrong. If you don't like what people do, close your business. People have been using those excuses for thousands of years, whether against Jews, Blacks, Women, Hispanics, Blondes, haha threw that in for fun. or anyone else they deem as not "the same as us". Please just go away. Please? You make me sick, therefore I don't have to serve you. Bam.

Hard to believe another year has come and gone. What the heck happened? 
Bit of an update: We hit the road this year. Or perhaps I should say the ocean? Hubs and I went on a cruise for a big birthday (mine) to celebrate. What a fantastic time we had. 
He continues to get better post stroke. He still has some residual problems such as having a hard time in crowds as he doesn't "see" someone in his blindspot. So when we traveled, I constantly tried to watch out for him and warn him such as " On your left!" or "behind you!" I felt like it was nagging. He didn't. He says it helps, so I still do it. 
I continue to struggle with auto-immune stuff. Now I have an electrical problem with my heart. I won't go into all the details, but suffice to say, it was a fishing expedition when it came to doctors this year as they tried to figure out the source of the problem. Now they are tooling with meds to fix it. Uh, yeah, about that. The cure is worse than the problem sometimes. When you have an allergy to medication your whole world goes:

But, we press on. And keep on going. I mean, what else is there? Just one foot in front of the other....
If you are going through crap, you know what I am talking about. Still... 
I read other blogs that auto-immune people put out. Sometimes the whining gets to me. I am not saying I don't whine, but I try to keep my whining to upbeat ratio balanced. Or hopefully the whining is less than<upbeat. Take care and Happy Birthday Sweet 16...
